I was arseing about on You Tube and found what I can only describe as my new favorite thing in the world ever. It's Rammstein covering Kraftwerk's The Model and it's fantastic.

So people of the massive, kindly point me towards some cracking covers which I'm unfamiliar with please! The odder the better.

Buzzfeed.com have posted what might be the most depressing set of music facts I have ever read, many of which I didn't know. It's still worth a read.

1. Creed have sold more records in the US than Jimi Hendrix

2. Led Zeppelin, REM, and Depeche Mode have never had a number one single, Rihanna has had 10 (to be fair, Led Zep weren't big on singles).

Today would have been Buddy Holly's 75th birthday. A trailblazer and the first rock and roller to make glasses look cool, he was too brilliant for mere words.

Today is Canada Day! So to celebrate the coming together of this fine nation, feel free to post your favorite Canadian related stuff here.

I will begin with this song which I find oddly touching. According to BJ Snowden "In Canada, they treat you like a queen, and folks never can be mean." Amen to that.

It seems that Janelle Monae has had the most successful Glastonbury as far as subsequent sales go. This is, I feel, a very good thing.
