Any body else watching Nigel Kennedy on the Proms?

Back in the day...
http://www.marmalade-skies.co.uk/yearbyyear.htm
This is part of Marmalade Skies, a website dedicated to British Psychedelia and rock generally during 1968-75. The old music press clipping are fascinating, but take a look at the gig listings for each month. I was amazed by the number of name bands, or at least bands I've heard of, out there gigging at any one time, and also by the number of venues. There are loads of college gigs of course, but also, no doubt, lots of pubs, clubs, halls etc. that just don’t do live music any more. I keep spotting places I know. Apparently, in 1970, Caravan, Argent, The Groundhogs, Brinsley Schwarz, the Quo - all played local pubs in my area.
Who watched Bonekickers last night?
Apropos the discussion going on in another thread on the merits of Dr. Who, did anyone watch Bonekickers yesterday evening? Its been getting a bit of a kicking on the Guardian TV blog, and deservedly so. What an awful programme. It was all there: daft premise, ludicrous plot, cliché-ridden dialogue, stereotypical characters - but in spades. The BBC might just have got away with a version of it in the Saturday evening Dr. Who/Robin Hood slot,as a rival to that ITV show where dinosaurs come through a rip in the space-time fabric and chase people.
Whatever happened to The Bhutan Philharmonic?
The free CD with issue 43 contained a rather good track by The Bhutan Philharmonic, a project of Neil Arthur, ex-Blancmange. That was back in 2006 and I've heard nothing of them since. Googling doesn't produce much. The album has been pre-orderable on Amazon for two years.
Anyone heard anything or know anything about them?
Danny Baker's All Day Breakfast Show podcasts - mp3's?
Can anybody out there in the Word community point me in the direction of ADBS mp3's? Much obliged.

Have you seen the Eric Clapton songbook, free with today's Guardian? It contains '..five classic songs...from one of the world's greatest guitarists, the heavily blues-influenced Eric Clapton.'
- Wonderful Tonight
- Tears in Heaven
- Presence of the Lord
- Let it Grow
- Lay down Sally
Good job they didn't pick any of his rubbish songs then, or all those budding guitarists would have missed out that heavy blues influence.

Just been flicking through the new issue on the train. Thank you for the Martha Wainwright pics, not to mention the ones of Padma Lakshmi and Isobel Campbell. Much more of this and I shall be able to cancel my subscription to Zoo magazine.
Jimmie Kimmel, Sarah Silverman, Matt Damon & Ben Affleck
This is brightened up a tedious Friday afternoon at work. Apologies if it has already been posted.
