Apparently...
Exitement is growing all around the country as in a years time something is happening.
Luckily people where I live are managing to go about their lives normally.
Anyone practicing diving into their bath tubs?
Sourpusses in rock...
Van Morrisson, Lou Reed and Richie Blackmore have to be three of the most miserable buggers ever to grace a stage.
Any other musicians who look as if they'd rather be a Murdoch at a parliamentary committee than pursuing their chosen profession?
sad news...
for any Motorhead fans out there.

other than the fact that I've never heard the wonderful Joe Pernice mentioned on here.
Murderous unions?
I know it's shooting fish in a basket but is this a new low for the Mail?

V (2009 version)
Has anyone seen this series? Is it as good as the Battlestar re-imagining? Saw the first episode last night and was a bit underwelmed. Is it worth persevering with?
Velvet Goldmine?

Sense of Perspective....
With all the recent bitching about different bands I believe it is time to recognise the lack of importance of both the Beatles and the Clash in the grand scheme of things.
Freesat?
Getting sick of dodgy signal reception on my freeview and am considering switching to a freesat system. Can anyone give me the pros and cons of freesat? Is it worth getting the HD version? going recordable etc.
Are the extra (non freeview) channels any good? Is reception always perfect?
Any info greatfully recieved.
Kindle help required...
I wonder if anyone who uses a Kindle in conjunction with Calibre can help me.
When trying to e-mail items to my Kindle from Calibre I had no problems at first but now get the message "IOError: Failed to send mail: SMTPServerDisconnected('Connection unexpectedly closed',)"
Is this to do with my Norton software? Weird how it was ok for a few days before it started doing this.
I have tried other e-mail accounts (gmail, hotmail) but all the same.
Anyone had a similar problem who can offer advice?
