Has anyone else noticed the rapid rise in gig prices since record sales were decimated by the advent of internet file-sharing?
Checking out forthcoming shows at the Mick Jagger Centre in Dartford I noticed that it would cost £22.00 to see Elkie Brooks in a few weeks time.Considering it only cost me a tenner to see Jackie Leven at The Borderline recently this seems a very high price for the fare on offer.
With recent hikes in heating and the cost of living I would have thought that artists would have tried to be more competetive in their pricing structures,or perhaps Dartford is just a hotbed of nostalgic Vinegar Joe fans?
