Here in Cape Town we have an weird invention of our own called the Gatsby.

Gatsbies usually consist of a soft french loaf cut lengthwise and opened up to form a sort of cradle which is filled with various fillings. While the choice of filling in a Gatsby varies wildly depending on customer preference and vendor, one standard item is usually hot greasy chips & salad.

Popular fillings include: Mutton chicken or steak curry. Polony, hot dogs, calamari rings & fish (hake).

So it looks like I'll be back in Mud Island around the end of August for about 3-4 weeks. So I was thinking what festivals are any good around that time? There seems to be so many these days.
