Madge's pudenda

(Mod edit - image NSFW): http://imgur.com/UyynH

The Daily Mail (my reference point for all things artistic) describes a sheet covering Madge's 'pudenda' on this photo that just sold for squillions. Pudenda? Well I can imagine what it means but it's a new one on me. Sounds like an Ali G witicism. Or a heated serving tray. 'Darling? Your parents are coming for supper tonight. Shall we serve the carrots in the pudenda?'.

In this, Brenda's jubilee year

What's your favourite line about Brits or being British? I suspect the likes of The Kinks and Squeeze would be reference points on the subject.

I like this line from Eaton Rifles: 'Some of the lads said they'd be back next week'.

Not 'all of the lads', just 'some of the lads' are able to commit themselves to their next appointment with anarchy and revolution.
Witty, unexpected and observant or just a throw away 'shoe in'? The latter may serve to make it all the more British.

Fess up

Who's ever used 5705 as a PIN? ... and if you give me that old 'internet scam' routine I'll take it as a yes but you're just too embarrassed to admit it.

My first ever bank PIN was 5446 (how cool is that? ... think about it).

Worst film ever?

Not even made yet but an action caper involving Status Quo and a bloke from Eastenders set in Fiji would probably fit the bill.

Stuff my dad says...

"Bring me a bucket of sand and I'll sing you the desert song" (When in his opinion he's been asked to multi task).

"It's a bit black over Will's mum's" (When the bruising of the sky suggests an impending storm)*

"I'll go to the foot of our stairs" (An indication of faux surprise).

Re 'Will's mother' - My partner recently pointed out that the aforementioned mater cropped up round their house if anyone was late... they were inevitably asked if they had "stopped at Will's mum's on the way".

Tom Petty's guitars stolen

$7,500 reward.

I wonder if someone suggested $10,000 and was knocked down.

ATM: Alternative book and play titles

Why do books and plays have alternative titles?

Uncle Toms Cabin (or Life Among The Lowly).
The Hobbit (or There And Back Again)
101 Dalmatians (or The Great Dog Robbery)

I'm sure I'll look daft here but I don't understand the reason.

Favourite start and finish to a show

Start

(Excluding the pre pre start to a Carter gig and the ritual chanting of You Fat Bastard at their roadie). Rose Royce at Hammersmith Odeon. The fire curtain came down as always (incidentally it was used as a screen to project a set from Crown Heights Affair before the show)but when it was raised the stage had been totally filled with dry ice and the band danced out of it singing the Car Wash refrain. Magical.

Finish

JAMC At the Studio in Bristol. 40 Minutes of one green light, dry ice, Ray Bans and feedback. Then the brothers Reid tossed their guitars at the amps and walked off. I had never seen anything so cool.

Stevie Nicks

A couple of videos at either end of the career of a very talented lady.

I have always had a soft spot for the second song as Sara was my first love when I was 16. But ultimately she broke my heart a year later as is the way with teenagers. We both went our separate ways but caught up with each other in the last couple of years.

I'm 50 now and in two weeks I'm flying back to England to see her and later in the year she's leaving England to live with me. Life still has surprises.

ATM: BBM Abroad

My girlfriend has a blackberry with an o2 bill but no data package. She pays her telephone bill at the end of the month, not pay as you go.

Will they charge her for BBM messages sent and received while she is in France? And if they do will it be a lot per message or just equate to a small amount of downloaded data?

Sorry if thats not enough to go on.
